The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the nation’s premier system of health-related telephone surveys that collect state data about U.S. residents regarding their health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services. The link “Prevalence Data & Data Analysis Tools” allows the user to explore alcohol consumption data and 1) produce customizable charts, 2) run custom crosstabulation tables, 3) view local area estimates for select Metropolitan/Micropolitan areas, 4) compare indicators across geographic areas with the Chronic Disease Indicators (CDI) Tool, and 5) view published prevalence estimates.
