A Free Educational Resource for Virtual Learning: Alcohol's Effects on the Brain (AlcoholFX)

Given the many COVID-19-related school closures, educators, parents, and caregivers are looking for innovative ways to help students learn as much as they can online at home. AlcoholFX is a fun, interactive, science-based app for children ages 10 to 12 to learn about alcohol’s impact on the brain. While moving through a series of game modules kids learn about ways alcohol use can harm their developing brains. Materials for educators or parents to use include a discussion guide with key concepts and objectives, suggested cross-curricular content, and a list of underage drinking prevention resources.
