Activity Description:
Join the Waubonsee community in a Communities Talk: Town Hall Meeting to Prevent Underage Drinking to educate one another about underage drinking and learn how to mobilize to take action. Nearly 8 million American youth drink alcohol, illegally and dangerously, and Waubonsee Community College, in partnership with Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) are aiming to discuss the harmful impact illegal consumption has on these populations. This lead agency is a partner in helping communities understand the importance of discussing underage drinking and drug consumption. This town hall meeting will provide insight from Breaking Free as well as the Gateway Foundation to discuss treatment and prevention of alcohol consumption and substance misuse.
Please join us for a conversation in the Student Center Cafe on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
All are welcome!
