Harnessing Data to Rally Your Community

12/07/2023

SAMHSA has released the results of the 2022 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) Annual National Report, which is the leading source of statistical data on alcohol, tobacco, drug use, mental health, and other health-related issues among the civilian, noninstitutionalized population aged 12 or older in the United States.

You’ll find data about adolescents ages 12 to 17 and young adults ages 18 to 25, including:

Their perception about the risk of harm from having four or five alcoholic drinks nearly every day or smoking marijuana once or twice a week.

  • The number of them who began using alcohol.
  • Their rates of binge drinking and heavy drinking.

The NSDUH Detailed Tables also have data about where 12- to 20-year-olds obtained alcohol in the past month, and risk and protective factor tables. New this year are Companion Infographics to make using the data even easier. Galvanize greater support for prevention efforts in your community by leveraging data from SAMHSA’s 2022 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) Releases.
