Communities Talk 2023 Cycle Has Begun!

01/12/2023

SAMHSA’s eighth round of the Communities Talk to Prevent Alcohol and Other Drug Misuse initiative has begun. Join substance misuse prevention professionals throughout the country in hosting a Communities Talk activity in 2023. Since 2006, the initiative has provided prevention resources and planning stipends to thousands of community-based organizations, colleges, and universities.

Communities Talk activities have expanded to include the prevention of other drug misuse as well as alcohol misuse. In the past, hosts have covered marijuana use, supporting mental health, e-cigarettes/vaping issues, as well as underage drinking.

Starting in 2023, planning stipends will be available every year; however, they are limited, so register now! You can see what activities have already been registered to receive a planning stipend on this map.

Email info@stopalcoholabuse.net for information about hosting an event in 2023.
