Paint the Town Purple
Hosted by:
Bay Area Alliance for Youth and Families and Kelsey Nalepa Foundation
Please briefly describe your Communities Talk activity.
Remembering Kelsey is a joint project between the Bay Area Alliance for Youth & Families and the Kelsey Nalepa Foundation. The Kelsey Nalepa Foundation aims to bring the community together in support of responsible behavior regarding alcohol in the hopes of reducing lives lost from alcohol-related tragedies. The Kelsey Nalepa Foundation was created after a young girl in the community was killed in a car accident crash t involving a drunk driver. The Paint the Town Purple campaign does not focus only on drunk driving; it includes all responsible alcohol behaviors such as not serving alcohol to minors. Through the Paint the Town Purple campaign, yard signs were distributed to families in the community to promote responsible behaviors regarding alcohol.
