SAMHSA’s Prevention Day Activities to Support Your Underage Drinking Prevention Efforts

SAMHSA will convene the 13th Annual Prevention Day on Monday, February 6, in conjunction with CADCA’s National Leadership Forum. This year’s Prevention Day theme is The Power of Prevention: Strengthening Community Voices.

Breakout Session about Communities Talk: Town Hall Meetings to Prevent Underage Drinking

Don’t miss “Sowing the Seeds of Prevention: Communities and Youth in Action”, presented by Marion Pierce, a Public Health Analyst with SAMHSA’s Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. The session will address how community-based organizations (CBOs) and prevention coalitions can partner and work with youth to prevent underage drinking.

Join the Conversation on Social Media

SAMHSA’s Communities Talk team will be hosting a Cyber Café at Prevention Day. The Cyber Café will feature opportunities to participate live on social media and include a photo area for selfies and group photos. If you can’t join in person on Prevention Day, search #CommunitiesTalk to join in on social media.
