Drinking Patterns in Older Adults
Authors of the chapter “Understanding Alcohol Consumption Patterns among Older Adults: Continuity and Change,” from Alcohol and Aging outline how drinking patterns change as adults age and how alcohol use patterns are defined as risky as a function of aging. The chapter details how older adult factors change how at-risk drinking is perceived as well as definitions of alcohol use and overviews of sociodemographic correlates of drinking among older adults.
The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism supported this research effort.
