Prevention is working! During National Prevention Week 2023, the Communities Talk to Prevent Alcohol and Other Drug Misuse team hosted a lively panel discussion with communities from across the country. The panelists shared prevention stories, including successes, challenges, and highlights from agency and university leaders representing the Northwest Michigan Health Department, Tuskegee University in Alabama, Ball State University in Indiana, and Florida Atlantic University. Since 2006, Communities Talk has provided prevention resources and planning stipends to thousands of community-based organizations, colleges, and universities to develop tailored strategies that work in their communities.
