Register Now To Receive a $500 Planning Stipend To Support Your Town Hall Meeting

E-mail invitations to request a $500 SAMHSA planning stipend were sent on February 21 to federal grantees, organizations identified by the National Prevention Network, and other national partners. Each e-mail contains a unique web address that Town Hall Meeting Hosts should use to register.

Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report Finds Drop in Drinking and Driving Over Past 12 Years

A December 2015 article in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) indicates that the prevalence of drinking and driving among persons ages 16 to 20 declined 59 percent from 2002 to 2014. The report, based on data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) National Survey on Drug Use and Health, shows self-report drinking and driving patterns among people in this age group dropped from 16.2 percent in 2002 to 6.6 percent in 2014.
