Town Hall Meeting to Prevent Underage Drinking
Panel with experts in their field
To educate the community on the dangers of underage drinking. Underage drinking is a public health problem. Whate can we, as a community, do to reduce or eliminate underage drinking in Commack? How can we delay the initiation of alchohol to our yourth until the age of 21? Aside from the many adverse health effects, underage drinking can lead to other substance abuse issues, such as marijuana, prescription medication and heroin use.
Our goal was to educated parents, community members and students about the dangers of underage drinking and what it can lead to.
Our panel consisted of Ms. Joanne Hoffman-Beechko, Pharmacist and owner of RX Express and President of the Long Island Pharmacists Society.
